THE EUROPEAN PHOTOGRAPHY FESTIVAL

The international ''Euro Foto Art'' (EFA) Association under the patronage of the Culture and National Identity Ministry have organized the 6th edition of the European Photography Festival during the 6th and the 31st of May 2017. It has started in Oradea fortress on the 6th of May 2017 and it'll end on the 31st of May 2017 in Ivano Frankivsk (Ucraina), relative city to Oradea. The photographers from Austria, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Moldavia, Ucraina and Romania were welcomed in the conference room by Mrs. Angela Lupsea - the manager of the Oradea Town and Fortress Museum, by Stefan Toth AFIAP - the president of ''Euro Foto Art'' Association and manager of the festival and also by Mrs. dr. Ramona Novicov - art critic. The festival's partners were: the Oradea city hall, the Bihor foundation for monuments protection and the Oradea fortress gathered in the cultural project ''Photographic Dialogue'' between Oradea and the European cities during the St. Ladislau jubilee year and the Varadinum Festival. On the6th of May at the Oradea fortress the guests started with a photographic workshop at the Summer Theatre, on which stage between 10.30 and 13.30 hours there performed: the Romanian (Crisana), the Hungarian (Gorboc), the German (Oradea German Forum), the Slovakian (Folk band from Valea Cerului) and the gipsy (Ciore Roma) folk dance groups. Then the photographers took shots of ''Stephany'' dance club's members. At 4pm in room no. 4 of the Oradea fortress there was opened Vasile Dorolti's (Baia Mare - RO) exhibit named ''Hypostasis'' with 14 b&w photos. At 5 pm in room no. 10 there was opened Ovi d. Pop's EFIAP (Oradea - RO) exhibit with 24 b&w and colour photos. At 6 pm in room M there was opened Suli Istvan's (Debrecen - HU) exhibit named ''Drawn with light'' with 60 b&w photos, part of the last year's exhibit on his 70th jubilee. At 7.30 pm in the ''Stefan Vilidar' room there was opened Johanna - Eszter's (Viena - AU) exhibit with 40 b&w photos with 30x45 cm size. On the second day of the festival the 7th of May 2017 between 10.00 and 17.00 hours there were presented photography catalogues and exhibits which take place all over Europe. At 11 am the artists could photograph the ''Pusta Wolves'' and  the ''Ordas Clan'' dressed in medieval costumes. At 3 pm there was opened at the Oradea city hall Tower Toma Andrei's (Moldavia)  exhibit with 25 photos. At 4 pm at Darvas - La Roche house there was opened Roxin Ioan's (Montpelier - FR) exhibit with 25 colour photos. The two above mentioned photographers are members of the ''EFA'' Association. At 5 pm at the Neolog Synagogue there were exposed 40 photos of the ''Jews from Romania'' national salon organized by ''EFA''. Part of this salon is exhibited at the Romanian Cultural Institute from Istanbul. After the opening Malita Lucian (violin) and Thurzo Sandor Jozsef (viola) held a great concert. At 7 pm at the Oradea fortress room no. 9 there was opened Szabó Béla's EFIAP (Győr - HU) exhibit with 14 b&w photos named ''The great silence'. The second day ended with projections of Vasile Dorolti and Szabo Bela quest artist's images. On Monday the 8th of May 2017 ''The tourism promotion through photography'' and ''Where does the European photography guide to'' oral examinations took place, held by ȘtefanTóth  AFIAP. Săteanu Felix (Baia Mare - RO), Jánki Mária (Cluj Napoca - RO), Ciurea Valeriu (Slatina - RO), Virag István (Sobor - Serbia) presented their opinions, too. At 12 pm there was opened Rusu T. Victor's (Suceava - RO) exhibit. Before the opening the ''Orneurim'' dance group from Israel performed. At 6 pm at the ''EFA'' gallery there was opened Virag Istvan's (Zombor - Serbia) exhibit named ''People, scenery...photographic dreams''. On Tuesday the 9th of May 2017 at 12 pm there was opened the 8th edition of the ''Eurofotoart'' international salon dedicated to the Europe's day. The music for all the 11 openings were held by these artists: Thúrzó Sándor József (viola) -6 openings, duo ''Varadiensis'', the ''Stadler'' clarinet cvartet and Chelu Alexandrina and Chelu Florian. It is to be appreciated that the manager of Oradea fortress museum and dr. Ramona Novicov participated and said their opinions on 9 openings. Also there will be opened lots of exhibits all over the galleries from Serbia, Slovakia, Ucraina, Hungary, Romania during the 6th edition of the European Photography Festival. The closing festivity will be on the 31st of May 2017 in Ivano Frankivsk (Ucraina). There will be opened the exhibit of the artists from the towns related to Oradea. Before the closing of the international festival there will be opened Stefan Tóth's AFIAP (Oradea - RO) exhibit at the School of Art in Soltino (Ucraina).

European Photography Festival in Chernivtsi (Ukraine)

 

The International Festival dedicated to Europe’s Day, is organized by the “Euro Foto Art” International Association, with the support of the Romania’s Ministry of Culture, independently funded, and aided by partner Organizations of the International Association from Romania and other European countries and China. The aim of the festival is to popularize photographic art from Romania in Europe and China, as well as European photography in Romania. The honored guests of the 5th edition of the festival were photographers from Serbia. The Festival started on May 9 in Cluj Napoca and consisted of 27 exhibitions organized in various cities in Romania, China, Serbia, Slovakia, Ukraine and Hungary. The closing ceremony, organized under the patronage of the Romanian Consulate in Cernăuți, took place in the presence of a great audience, on the 31st of May, in the Art Museum of the Cernăuți region (Ukraine). This exhibition has been organized in partnership with the “Bucovina” Cultural Center from Suceava (Romania). The international exhibition entitled “Dialogue…” was made up of works belonging to Romanian, Moldavian, Ukrainian and Hungarian photographers. A selection of 50 photographs, black-white or colored, have been exhibited, all taken by: : Arsene Florin (RO), Dancoglu Constantin EFIAPb (RO), Ciobotaru Ioan (RO), Ciurea Valeru (RO), Gabor Ovidiu (RO), Kajtár Tibor (HU), Mészáros Ödön (HU), Mocanu Dorin (RO), Paladea Vasile (UA), Petrila Gheorghe EFIAP (RO), Rusu T. Victor (RO), Săteanu Felician (RO), Sburlan Nicolai (RO), Szabó Attila (RO), Toma Andrei (MD), Tóth  Ştefan AFIAP (RO), Tudorel Ilie (RO) şi Turcza Hunor (RO). The public was greeted by Miss Inna Kitul - general director of the Art Museum, who underlined the collaboration of her Institution with the International Association. At the closing of the European Photography Festival ceremony, the General Consul of Romaina in Cernăuți, Miss Eleonora Moldovan – was present. She lauded the organizing of such an event, which can be seen as a symbol for other fields, such as diplomacy or other forms of bilateral common Romanian-Ukrainian collaboration.Mr. Ștefan Tóth AFIAP – President of the “Euro Foto Art” International Association and director of the Festival - thanked all partners from Romania and Ukraine for their support in helping this project come alive. The exhibition will be open to the public for two weeks.

The opening of the Eurofotoart exhibition in Bistrița

 

Monday, 30th May, at the Lion House galleries in Bistrița, the opening of the Eurofotoart’s 5th exhibition opened to the public, in front of a numerous audience, among which a group of young artists from the Culture Palace Bistrița. The exhibition is organized by the Euro Foto Art International Association. At the event, Mr. Ștefan Tóth AFIAP took part, as president of the Euro Foto Art Association and director of the European Photography Festival. At the event, various artists from Bistrița were invited, including Ovidiu Lazăr and Adrian Petrișor, both having received prizes in the International Salons. The public was greeted by the representative of the Culture Palace, the graphic artist Lucian Dobârtă, referent of the Lion House Galleries, who underlined in his speech the important role contemporary photography has today for the viewers as well as for the artists. Mr. Tóth presented the context in which he created the rule for the International Salon, organized for dedicated art photographers from Europe. The two local photographers talked about their debut and the way they prepared for this international salon. In the closing of the event, all members were invited to take part in a group photo, to have a memory of the evening. The exhibition organized by the Euro Foto Art Association, in collaboration with partners from Bistrița, is part of the 5th edition of the European Photography Festival and will be available to the public until May 28th, with free access.

 

The opening of the group exhibition Adela Rusu AFIAP - Ovi D Pop AFIAP in Oradea

 The fifth edition of the European Photography Festival, dedicated to Europe’s Day, organized by the Euro Foto Art Association, in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, gave the possibility of exhibiting in the “ovidpop art gallery” from the “Era Shopping Park” a group work of Rusu Adela AFIAP and Ovi D. Pop AFIAP, members of the Nufărul Photography Club, entitled “Duete Mărgeliste”. The opening of the exhibition took place on the 14th of May, in the presence of the authors, during a support event for Alex and Nicolle Șerban, who were injured in the “Colectiv” accident from Bucharest. Ștefan Toth AFIAP, director of the European Festival, took part at the event and presented the exhibiting photographers the Patronage Certificate of the “Euro Foto Art” Association. The photographs of the exhibition presented strings o beads made by various artists from Romania and Europe, which were donated to the support of the victims. The musical moments were provided by Ariadna Mircescu and Georgiana Mircescu. The exhibition, organized under the banner of the “Euro Foto Art” Association will stay open to the public until May 28. Entrance is free.

The Soul of the Romanian village - presented in

Slatina (Olt).

 

The cultural center “Eugen Ionescu” from Slatina, was the host of the photography exhibition entitled “The soul of the Romanian village” – hosted by Constantin Dancoglu E.FIAP/b and Gheorghe Petrila E.FIAP, both from Oradea. The exhibition was organized by the County Center for Preserving and Promoting traditional culture Olt, in partnership with the International Association Euro Foto Art (from Oradea) and the “Alutus” Photography club from Slatina. This event took place during the European Photography festival 5th edition, organized by the “Euro Foto Art” Association, under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture. The opening of the exhibition took place on May 19th 2016 at 17:00, in the foyer of the “Eugen Ionescu” Cultural Center. Eighty photographs have been exhibited, all creations of the two Oradea-based photographers, members of the “Nufărul” Photo Club (CFNO) from Oradea – the club will be celebrating its 40th year of existence in 2016. The photographs brought delight to the audience, showcasing a series of special portraits, social photographs as well as great landscapes, all representing the Romanian peasant, tied “with body and soul” to the picturesque places of Romania. The exhibition, organized under the patronage of the Olt County Council and Slatina City Hall, will be open to the public until June 10 2016.

 

The Exhibition Photographers Union of Moldova in Baia Mare

 

The 5th edition of the European Photography Festival, organized by the “Euro Foto Art” Association, with support from the Ministry of Culture, will give the chance of organizing in Baia Mare, a representative exhibition of photographers from the Moldavian Republic. The exhibition is made up of 50 color and black/white photographs, made by Andriuc Olga, Burlacu Iurie, Caneev Oleg, Colos Vladimir, Diacov Tatiana, Foca Iurie, Garstea Victor, Lesik Irina, Miniuc Nicolai, Poiata Anatolie, Sorochin Andrei, Sorochin Alla and Tabirta Florin. This exhibition has been presented in the “Universitatea” Passage before, in Bucharest, in the Euro Foto Art Gallery in Oradea, in Iași, Slatina (Olt) and in Galați. The opening of the exhibit took place in a festive environment, in front of a numerous public, among which there were photographers and local media representatives. The event took place in the Art Salon of the County Library “Petre Dulfu” in Baia Mare. The public was greeted by Ilie Tudorel, photographer, representative of the County Council and the City Hall. Ștefan Tóth AFIAp, president of the Euro Foto Art Association and director of the Festival, shared his positive impression about the exhibition with the spectators. The musical moments were provided by Thurzó Sándor József from Oradea. The exhibition, organized in partnership with the Maramureș County Council and the Baia Mare City Hall will be open to the public until June 15 2016.

 

The  Exhibition Photographers Union of Moldova in Cernești (RO)

 

The 5th edition of the European Photography Festival organized by the Euro Foto Art Association, in partnership with the Ministry of Culture will give the chance of organizing in Cernești, a representative exhibition of photographers from the Moldavian Republic. The exhibition is made up of 50 color and black/white photographs, made by Andriuc Olga, Burlacu Iurie, Caneev Oleg, Colos Vladimir, Diacov Tatiana, Foca Iurie, Garstea Victor, Lesik Irina, Miniuc Nicolai, Poiata Anatolie, Sorochin Andrei, Sorochin Alla and Tabirta Florin. The public was greeted by the Mayor of Cernești – Nelu Vasile-Sovre, and by Nicoleta Mălai, mayor of Ghelăuza, from the Strășeni district form the Moldavian Republic. During this event, the collaboration protocol was signed between these two cities. Mr. Ștefan Tóth AFIAP congratulated the two mayors for their initiative and has shared his views on the Republic of Moldova and presented the exhibited photographs. The musical moments were provided by members of the Traditional dance group Măgura from Cernești. Thurzó Sándor József also took part in the event – viola player – as well as the photographer Christian Filipescu Christian. The exhibition will be open to the public until june 15 2016.

 

 

The international exhibition “Euro Foto Art Partner’s” at Gura Humorului

At the Cultural Center in Gura Humorului, the opening of the International Exhibition “Euro Foto Art – Partner’s “ – organized by the Euro Foto Art Association, took place, in partnership with the Bucovina Cultural Center. In the “Radu Dionisie Bercea” room (last year after the renovation to the building ended, two of the exhibition rooms were named after local artists, by a local council decision – George Gavrileanu and Radu Dionisie Bercea) – the exhibition presents 103 photographs to the public, taken in black-white or color, by members of the 31 partner organizations of the Euro Foto Art Association, from Europe, as well as Asia. Among the exhibited photographs, there are works belonging to artists from the Czech Republic, China, Croatia, Russian Federation, Japan, Serbia, Poland, Romania, USA, Ukraine, Hungary. From Romania, photographs belonging to partner organizations from Bucharest, Cluj Napoca, Carei, Craiova, Galați, Gheorgheni, Oradea, Marghita, Miercurea Ciuc, Râmnicul Vâlcea, Târgoviște, Târgu Mureș, Valea lui Mihai, are exhibited. The exhibition was presented by prof. Constantin Logigan who, addressing to the public composed mostly of school children, offered them a real lesson about photography. The exhibition was analyzed by members of the Bucovina Cultural Center – Victor T. Rusu photographer, and the graphic artist Mihai Pânzaru PIM. And because prof. Constantin Logigan (who, along with Victor T. Rusu are the initiators of the International Film and Photography Festival Autumn in Voroneț – this year celebrating its 36th edition – a great festival promoting documentary film, video production and audio-visual communication culture), underlined the fact that this event is being held during Romania’s days of Royalty and mentioned the name of Carol Popp de Szathmari (1812-1887), the first war photographer in the world and the official photographer of the Royal Familly. Mr. Rusu talked about the fact that Euro Foto Art Association is the only regional member of the FIAP (International Art Photography Federation), is the organizer of an International Photography Salon which offers “Carol Pop de Szahtmari – Szathmari Pap Karoly” distinctions.  Bringing to the attention of the public that “Gura Humorului is a center of photographic creation” (having the only photography club in the Suceava county), Mr. Rusu underlined that during the current election campaign, the cultural center, through its numerous activities, is in a “cultural campaign”, which also includes this international photography exhibition. Mihai Pânzaru PIM talked about a famous field reporter and image operator (the Icarus from Bucovina – the late Ștefan Petrescu – who has collaborated with the Romanian Television and some well-known German publications such as Der Spiegel, Stern, Wirtschaft Magazin, Frankfurter Rundshau, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Burda and also German television), encouraged students to take photographs since today anyone can do it and photography has the gift of “stopping time in its place”. “A photograph”, said prof. Logigan at the end of the event, “is worth a thousand words. Mozes Gavriel’s exhibition, from Tel Aviv to Oradea

The fifth edition of the European Photography Festival, dedicated to Europe’s Day, organized by the Euro Foto Art Association, under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture, gave the possibility of exhibiting in the Euro Foto Art Gallery a great personal exhibition from Israel. This time, on the walls of the gallery, a total of 105 photographs have been put up on display, measuring 30x45cm, in black and white or color. All photos have been taken by Mozes Gabor from Tel Aviv, member of the International “Euro Foto Art” Association. The exhibition is entitled “Above and under the Ocean” has been organized in the following series: “The world under the ocean”, “Indonesia”, “Nepal”, “Jerusalem”.  The first series presents photographs taken with great talent in the Ocean and in special conditions – an unknown fairy tale land. The photographs belonging to the “Indonesia” series show us portraits and landscapes from that part of the world, as well as 7 images depicting a cockfighting. In the “Nepal” series, portraits and social photographs are presented, taken in a special place far in Asia. The 11 photographs belonging to the “Jerusalem” series present people and traditions of the Middle East. The photographer has been born in 1949 in Oradea and in 1973 graduated from the Medical University “Babeș Bolyai” from Cluj Napoca – general medicine section. In 1977 he escapes to Israel, where he practices medicine. In the present, he is the director of the “Shoulder Center” from the Assuta Hospital in Tel-Aviv. He learned photography from his father, dr. Mozes Karoly, when he was 9, after which he started learning by himself. At 48 he became a licensed diver and specialized in underwater photography. “I take photographs with great pleasure, with a macro or fish eye lens, of the nature above and under the water, but I also have a passion for portraits. For taking my photographs, I prefer to rely on natural light sources”, declares the photographer about his methods of working. The opening of the exhibition took place in the presence of the author, his wife and a great public, on May 12. The guest of honor was Cseke Attila – senator. The exhibited works have been presented by dr. Ramona Novicoc – art critic. The exhibition has been presented by Ștefan Toth AFIAP, president of the Euro Foto Art Club. Mr. Toth presented the exhibiting photographer with a Certificate for his work. The musical moments were provided by Thurzo Sandor and Lucian Malita (viola and violin players). This exhibition is dedicated to Israel’s National Day, being organized in partnership with the Gheorghe Șincai County Library, the Oradea City Hall and with the support of the Bihor County Council. The launch of the European Photography Festival in

Cluj Napoca

The leadership of the International Association “Euro Foto Art”, sole regional member of the International Art Photography Federation (FIAP), will be organizing, during May 9 - 31 2016, from their own funds, with the support of partner organizatons and the patronage of the Ministry of Culture, the 5th edition of the European Photography Festival. The official launch of the festival, dedicated to the Day of Europe, took place at the Tailors’ Bastion Gallery, in Cluj Napoca. During the festivities, the 5th edition of the “Eurofoto Stars” has also been presented. At this edition, the best-known photographers from the “old continent” have been called to participate with images taken in Europe. With this occasion, a series of 55 black and white, as well as colored photographs have been put up on display, of great artistical value, taken by photographers from: the Czech Republic, Denmark, Ireland, Serbia, Pakistan, Republic of Moldova, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Ukraine, Hungary. The public will be able to admire photographs ranging from social themes, landscapes, portraits, applied photography or abstract subjects. The photographers used various styles for taking their pictures, some traditional, other unconventional, this being the reason why the current exhibition will provide an exceptional visual confrontation. The exhibits were presented by Prof. Dr.  Găină Dorel, while the exhibition was oficially opened by Ștefan Tóth AFIAP - the president of the “Euro Foto Art” Association and the director of the International Festival. The exhibition, organized in partnership with the Urban Cultural Center in Cluj Napoca, under the patronage of the City Hall and Local Council will be opened to the public until May 19 2016.

The opening of the Slovak photographers exhibition in

Slatina (Olt)

The European Photo Festival, organized by the “Euro Foto Art” Association, under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture included, among others, the opening, in the Lobby of the Cultural Centre “Eugen Ionescu” of Slatina (Olt), of a collective exhibition of Komarno (Slovakia) fine-art photographers, entitled “The World in the Eyes of the Three…”. The 70 black and white and colour photos which will be displayed in this wonderful exhibition hall have been selected out of the 100 black and white and colour photos inaugurated two months ago in the presence of the authors, in the “Euro Foto Art” Gallery of Oradea. The fine-art photographers Kopják Angelika, Sedliak Pál and Virágh Mária, are members of the ”Helios” Photo Club of Komarno (Slovakia), partner organization of the International Association ”Euro Foto Art”, located in Oradea, and they have exhibited for the first time in Romania. They favourite subjects are the landscape, the social photography and the photo essay. The inauguration took place on Friday, the 29th of May 2015, at 17.00 in the Lobby of the Cultural Centre “Eugen Ionescu” of Slatina (Olt) and was attended by a numerous audience. The public was greeted by the fine-art photographer Valeriu Ciurea, president of the PhotoClub “Alutus” of Slatina - Olt (who has recently become a member of the International Association ”Euro Foto Art”, located in Oradea). Cristian Bircea - deputy mayor of Slatina, Dedu Telespan – teacher at the photography class at Children’s Palace of Slatina and the fine-art photographer Dana Iancu - visual arts teacher at the National College ”Radu Greceanu” Slatina (member of the ”Euro Foto Art” Association), attended the event and took the floor. The organization of Komarno (Slovakia) photographers exhibition in Slatina (Olt) was possible due to our good partner relationships with the Cultural Association ”Center Interart”- the International Art Center of Romania, the Olt County Center for the Promotion of Traditional Culture and the PhotoClub ”Alutus” of Slatina (Olt). The exhibition, organized under the patronage of Slatina City Hall and of Slatina (Olt) County Council will be open to the public until the 20th of June 2015. Closing of the

European Photography Festival

In a special event, at the Cultural Center “Gura Humorului”, the closing festivity of the IV edition of the European Photography Festival took place. It has been organized by the “Euro Foto Art” Association, with support from the European Commission’s Representative in Romania, the Information Bureau of the European Parliament in Romania and the patronage of the Ministry of Culture. A great number of people took part at this event, along with Vasile Paladean – regional vicepresident from Ukraine and Nicolae Hauca, both from Cernăuți, Ukraine. The public was greeted by the director of the Cultural Center, Mihai Mardare, who thanked the “Euro Foto Art” Association and Suceava Cultural Center for the support given in organizing the International salon “Eurofotoart” in Gura Humorului. In the minutes that followed, the art photographer Ștefan Toth AFIAP – president of the Euro Foto Art Association and director of the European Photography Festival, talked about the context in which this festival has been organized, after which he presented the representative of the Suceava Culture Center – Victor T Rusu, photographer and Mihai Mardare – the placket of the European Photography Festival, as a sign of gratitude for the support given in organizing international events. In the second part of the festivity, a special dialogue took place, at which Dr. Nicolae and Anca Dărămuș, Leonard Butucea – director of the Mănăstirea Humorului school, Ostaficiuc Iarema and Mihai Camilaș participated.


Photographic art exhibition from Italy in Galați

The European Photography Festival, organized by the “Euro Foto Art” Association with the support of the European Commission’s Representation in Romania and the Information Bureau of the European Parliament in Romania, under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture, offers the possibility of organizing representative art photography exhibitions in Romania and other countries. In this context, the representative exhibition “In memoriam Marcello Materassi” has arrived in Galați. The photographer Marcello Materassi EFIAP/p Es FIAP was born in Firenze, Italy. His photographic activity started in 1996 and in short time he began participating with his works in various national and international photographic salons, where the jury accepted over 2000 of his images, out of which 150 were awarded with various medals and distinctions. Out of his works, a total of 50 exhibitions have been organized, 30 of which in Italy, China, Croatia, Switzerland, France, Greece, Serbia, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine. His photographs are published in many specialized magazines and in various editions of the FIAF Annular (Italian Photography for Art Photography). In 2002 he receives the AFIAP distinction (Artist of the International Art Photography Federation), and in 2005 EFIAP (Excellence FIAP). Along the years he was invited to be a jury in many photography festivals in Europe and Asia. In this context, he has been a member of various “Premfoto” salons organized by the “Nufărul” Oradea photo club and “Eurofotoart”, organized by the “Euro Foto Art” Association. The present exhibition is structured on three cycles: Maramureș, Toscany and China. Maramureș is a zone preferred by the exhibiting photographer, which visited these parts many times and where he made a series of portraits, socio-photographs about children, women and men from there. Because Marcello Materassi traveled several times in China, he had the possibility to make images of a very good quality. Another area which the photographer preffered, is the Toscana in Italy, about which he made a number of high quality photographs. The opening of the exhibition will take place on May 29 2015 at 17:00 in Galați, in the gallery of the Dunărea de jos Photo Club. The numerous public present at the event was greeted by Nicolai Sburlan, after which Prof. Aurel Manole, president of the Plastic Artist Union’s Branch in Galațipresented the exhibited works. The opening of the exhibition of the regretted photographer was made possible due to the good relations between the Cultural Center “Dunărea de jos”and the photo club with the same name. The exhibition organized under the patronage of the Galați City hall and Galați County Council will remain open until June 20. Access is free.


The opening of the Romanian and Ukrainian photographers’ exhibition in Cernivtsi (UA)

The European Photography Festival, organized by the “Euro Foto Art” Association, under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture, has offered the possibility of organizing (with the patronage of the General Consulate of Romania in Chernivtsi) an exceptional exhibition of Romanian and Ukrainian artists. The 80 photographs that have been exposed have been made by photographers from Baia Mare, Beiuș, Bistrița, București, Carei, Craiova, Gheorgheni, Iași, Ordorheiu Secuiesc, Oradea, Săcele, Slatina, Miercurea Ciuc, Târgoviște, Târgu Mureș, Timișoara (RO) and from Cernăuți, Kherson, Lviv, Odessa, Sevastopol, Rivne, Ujghorod, Vinitsa and Zaporozye (UA). The opening of the joint exhibition took place at the Art Museum in Chernivtsi, on a Thursday, 28th of May 2015, in front of a numerous public, that filled the Gallery. At the event, from the General Romanian Consulate - Miss Eleonora Moldovan the general consul or Romania in Chernivtsi, mister Ruslan Senciuc, deputy of the head of the Regional State Administration Chernivtsi and the photographer Ștefan TóthAFIAP, the president of the “Euro Foto Art” Association and president of the European Photography Festival. The public was greeted by Miss Inna Kitul, the director of the Art Museum. She appreciated the fact that, we can witness an exceptional cultural event today, organized in partnership with the “Euro Foto Art” Association. Ruslan Senciuc has underlined in his discourse the importance of organizing joint exhibitions of Ukrainian and Romanian photographers and has ensured his support and the support of his institution in the future organization of such events. Miss Eleonora Moldovan, the general consul of Romania, greeted the initiatives of Ștefan Tóth AFIAP regarding the promotion of collaboration relations between photographers from Romania and Ukraine and his permanent presence at these events. At the end, the president of the “Euro Foto Art” Association underlined in his discourse that he was extremely glad when he saw that the project he started has been received and supported with valuable images of photographers from the two countries. “The photographic art exhibition which will surely delight the viewers and their souls, convinces us that together even photography becomes more valuable!”, said the director of the festival. Finally, he presented Miss Eleonora Moldovan and Miss Inna Kitul, the placket of the European Photography Festival and the diploma that certifies that they have become permanent honorary members of the “Euro Foto Art” association, as a sing of gratitude for the collaboration and support given during these common projects.


The opening of the Voivodina (Serbia) Art Photographers Exhibition

The “European Photography Festival”, organized by the “Euro Foto Art” Association, with the aid of the European Union’s Representation in Romania and the Information Bureau of the European Parliament in Romania, under the Patronage of the Ministry of Culture, offers the possibility of organizing and presenting a photo exhibition in Voivodina (Serbia). Following the line drawn by the first Photo Club from the Balkans, founded and registered in 1901, after the Photo Movie and Video Association has been established in 1946, it has taken an active participation in the photographic life of Voivodina, at first during the “Popular Technique” Organization, and later at an individual level. For the Photo Film and Video Association, the receiving in 1999 of a permanent exhibition hall meant a renewal in the life of regional photographers. The association organizes various juried exhibitions all year round. Apart from traditional exhibitions, in the gallery there are periodic exhibitions from Novi Sad, Voivodina, Serbia - as well as other personal exhibitions and the collections of some organizations from other countries. The Voivodina association participates actively in the two international festivals organized by the “Euro Foto Art” Association, under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture. These festivals are being held in January and May, every year. The exhibition of the members from the Voivodina Association has been presented in various galleries from Romania, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Slovakia, Croatia, Switzerland, the Czech Republic and the Russian Federation. The well-known Novi Sad gallery has good collaboration relations with the galleries from the city on the banks of the Danube. The exhibition, titled “Visions” is made up of 60 photographs belonging to 27 active members of the association. The opening of the exhibition took place on May 27 2015, at 18:00, on a Wednesday in the “Studio” room, from the “Black Eagle” palace, in the presence of members from the “Nufărul” Photo Club and a photography-loving public. The works that have been exposed have been presented by the artist Ștefan Toth AFIAP, the president of the “Euro Foto Art”Association. The musical moments have been offered by Thurzó Sándor József (viola) and Lucian Maliţa (violin). The exhibition is organized in partnership with the “Nufărul” Photo Club from Oradea, under the patronage of the Bihor county council. It can be visited by the public until June 28 2015. Exhibition in Komarno (SK)

The Gallery of the Danube Museum from the Zichy Palace in Komarno (Slovakia) is hosting, since April 28 2015, the personal exhibition of the photographer Dannis János EFIAP from Gödöllő (Hungary), entitled “Generations”. In this exhibition, which is part of the IV edition of the European Photography Festival, organized by the Euro Foto Art Association from Oradea, under the patronage of the Romanian Ministry of Culture, 45 color and black and white photographs have been exhibited. The opening of the exhibition took place on a Tuesday, 28 April 2015, at 17:00, in the presence of the author, a large number of photographers and the mayor from Komarno Stubendek László, along with the director of the museum and the assistant director Csütörtöky József and Sipos Anna. At this event, the local historian, Mácza Mihály and the photographer Gráfel Lajos - the founder and president of the “Helios” photo club from Komarno - were also present. The exhibiting photographer was born in 1944 in Dolha, from the Beregovo county (Ukraine). Since the age of 2, he has been living in Gödöllő (Hungary). For 20 years, he has been a researcher in the field of electricity, and for a decade he has been the manager of some representative companies from Gödöllő. Since 1992, for 20 years, he has been the manager of a Japanese company in Ploiești. He started to take photographs for the first time while he was in high school, then he continued at university. His favorite subjects relate to people, especially the portraits and life scenes from Transylvania, which are not staged but rather captured “on the go”. He has participated with his creations in over 600 international salons, where he obtained 180 prizes and medals. Following the results he had in 2014, he was awarded the EFIAPb distinction. His personal exhibitions are organized in various cities from Hungary and Romania. He is a member of the PSA and the World Hungarian Art Photographers Union - with the headquarters in Budapest. For years, he can be found in the top of the PSA, while in 2011 he obtained third place in the journalistic section “WorldTop”. At the end of the event, the students of the Popular Art School from Komarno have presented a musical program interpreted at the flute, accompanied by piano by Fekete Éva.


The inauguration of the “Euro Foto Art” Gallery in Baile Felix

After the IV edition of the European Photography Festival – organized by the “Euro Foto Art” Association under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture; a festival organized with the support of the European Commission’s Representation in Romania and the European Parliament Information Bureau in Romania –has been launched in the Oradea gallery, prizes were awarded for the 2015 edition of the “Eurofotoart” International Salon (Organized by the “Euro Foto Art” Association under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and the Bihor County Council). The opening of the International Salon, at its VII edition, dedicated to the Day of Europe, continued at the new gallery opened in “Crișana” Hotel from Băile Felix, on Saturday, May 9, at 12:30. The public present at this event was greeted by the administrator of the hotel – Dan Petrescu – who thanked the management of the “Euro Foto Art” Association for their reaction in opening the new permanent gallery in the hotel. Ștefan Tóth AFIAP, the president of the Association and at the same time the director of the Festival has appreciated the conditions created by the hotel for opening the “Euro Foto Art” Gallery and he ensured the administrator of the hotel that he will ensure the presence of valuable exhibitions in the new gallery. The art photographer Ovi D. Pop AFIAP – who has been awarded numerous prizes in the Photo club, has greeted the opening of this new gallery and appreciated the exhibiting conditions for the photos. The art photographer Lazar Ioan Ovidiu from Bistrița, who won the “Carol Pop de Szathmári - Szathmári Pap Károly” gold medal, has appreciated the artistic value of the photographs that were accepted and awarded in the VII edition of the International “Eurofotoart” Salon 2015. The musical moments for this occasion were provided by the artist Thurzó Sándor József. The launch of the European Photography Festival

On the 9th of May 2015, in the Euro Foto Art Gallery from Oradea, the IV edition of the European Photography Festival has been launched, organized by the Euro Foto Art Association, under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture. The International Festival, organized with the support of the European Commission’s Romanian Representation and the European Parliament Information Bureau in Romania, debuted with the opening ceremony and prize awarding for the “Eurofotoart” International Salon 2015, organized by the Euro Foto Art Association, under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and the Bihor County Council. The opening of the VII Edition of the International Salon dedicated to Europe’s Day took place on the 9th of May, on a Saturday, at 11:00, in the “Euro Foto Art” Gallery from Oradea. Present at this event were the Cabined Director Horia Carțis from the County Council, photographers and photography enthusiasts from Oradea. For the VII edition of this International Salon, 2072 images have been registered, taken by photographs from 14 European countries, the USA, Japan and China. The international jury was made up of: Georg S.Holzmann E.FIAP, Hon E.FIAP (germany) - president of the jury, Viorel Simionescu EFIAP (Canada), Kiss Imre AFIAP (Hungary), Oltean Marcel AFIAP (Romania) and Both Gyula AFIAP (Romania). They have scored the pictures without knowing the authors, via internet. 186 images have been accepted for the Salon, all taken in Europe (and which have had an average score of 7). Most prizes and awards went to Romanian photographers, who, in spite of receiving the rules later than the rest, had a great deal of trust in the purpose put forward by the organizers. The crystal trophy of this Salon has been awarded to Tudosescu Gabriel from Bucharest (member of the “Euro Foto Art” Association from Oradea). He has managed to obtain the most number of awards and accepted works in this salon. Ștefan Tóth AFIAP, the president of the well-known international association and the director of the salon has stated that “it is an European first that this salon has been organized for high-expectation photographers, as a quality alternative to other salons organized under various patronages. Never has there been registered such a great participation, but also a quality one from Romanian photographers”. In the European Photography Festival - which aims to promote photographic art from Europe in Romania and Romanian photography in Europe - there will be more events organized in various cities from Serbia, Slovakia, Romania, Ukraine and Hungary. As a preamble for the launch of the festival, two exhibitions of Romanian photographers have been put up at Karolyi castle in Carei and at the Tailor’s Bastion in Cluj Napoca. Exhibitions will take place in this Festival in various Romanian cities, such as: Aleșd, Baia Mare, Bucharest, Miercurea Ciuc, Slatina and Râmnicu Vâlcea. A special event organized under the patronage of the General Romanian Consulate in Cernăuți will take place on the 28th of May in the Art Museum from Cernăuți (Ukraine), when an exhibition of Romanian and Ukrainian photographers will take place. With this occasion, 80 black and white, as well as color photographs made by artists from Baia Mare, Beiuş, Bistriţa, Bucharest, Carei, Craiova, Gheorgheni, Iaşi, Odorheiu Secuiesc, Oradea, Săcele, Slatina, Miercurea Ciuc, Târgovişte, Târgu Mureş, Timişoara (RO), and from Cernăuţi, Kherson, Lviv, Odessa, Sevastopol, Rivne, Ujghorod, Vinitsa şi Zaporozye (UA).
